Welcome to The Local Pickle! To ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for all players, we kindly ask that you follow these Rules & Regulations:

Arrival Time
  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your court reservation or event time.
  • All players must check in at the front desk upon arrival.
Court Reservations
  • Wait for your court until your assigned time.
  • Be mindful of the time you have signed up for and the specific court you are assigned to.
Departure
  • Upon leaving, ensure you take all of your belongings with you.

 

Code of Conduct

At The Local Pickle, we are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all our players and spectators. To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, we kindly request that you adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

Good Sportsmanship
Always exhibit good sportsmanship, both on and off the court.
Negativity-Free Zone
Refrain from directing any form of negativity or abuse towards others.
Noise Consideration
Be mindful of the noise level when others are playing around you.
Equipment Handling
Never throw your paddle or mishandle any equipment intentionally.
Respect for All Abilities
Be respectful of players of all skill levels, embracing an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere.
Accurate Line Calls
Strive to make correct line calls during games.
In Doubt, Call In
If in doubt, call the ball in during gameplay.
Court Etiquette
Avoid entering a court while a point is in progress if you are not part of the game.
Safety First
Cease play immediately if an unsafe situation arises, such as a stray ball or a player getting injured.
Warning Adjacent Courts
Warn adjacent courts if you hit a ball onto their playing area.
Proper Attire
Wear safe and proper attire, including shirts and non-marking shoes designed for court sports. Consider using proper eye protection.
Responsibility for Guests
Accept responsibility for your guests and family members in attendance.
Cleanliness
Keep the court and surrounding play area clean and free of debris. Clean up after yourself and your guests in the café or social areas.
Substance-Free Play
Refrain from playing if your movement or judgment is impaired by alcohol or other drugs.
Proper Registration
When registering for leagues and tournaments, sign up for the appropriate level according to USA Pickleball standards. If members join at the wrong level, The Local Pickle reserves the right to move players to the proper competitive level of play. (Refer to USAPA-Skill-Rating-Definitions-2020.pdf (usapickleball.org)
