Merritt began his pickleball career at Widgi Creek Pickleball Club in Bend, Oregon, where he spent nearly two years honing his craft and coaching players of all levels. With a strong foundation in competitive tennis, Merritt brings a unique, high-energy approach to his clinics, private lessons, and camps—always emphasizing fundamentals and smart court play.
As a competitive player, Merritt has earned medals in 4.5, 5.0, and open-level tournaments. He has also traveled across the country to compete in APP and PPA pro qualifiers, with the ultimate goal of playing at the highest professional level.
